Butcher Twine for Hanging Meat

Butchers twine — also called butchers string, cooking string or kitchen twine — is essential food-safe cotton for hanging meat on your Meatdryer hook. This durable 2 mm (0.08") twine creates a hygienic loop system for drying and aging small to medium-sized meat pieces like salami, pancetta, biltong, wild game, and jerky.
How to use: Make a small hole in your meat and tie a secure loop with the twine. Hang the loop on your Meatdryer hook — the twine keeps your meat from touching the hook directly, maintaining optimal hygiene and good drying conditions, and making removal easier. Never hang meat directly on the Meatdryer hook.
The 250-meter (820 ft) roll provides enough butchers twine for numerous curing projects, making it an economical choice for home charcuterie enthusiasts. The food-safe cotton is strong enough to support your meat throughout the entire drying cycle, while staying gentle enough not to tear or damage delicate cuts.
